Façades looks critically at the architectural phenomenon of façadism that can be seen throughout Seattle. As these constructions preserve only a veneer of the original architecture's history, much about the city's cultural history may be lost. As an aesthetic and procedural counterpoint to this architectural gesture, Photogrammetry was used to create 3D models by analyzing multiple still photographs. This results in a hollow shell of that space, often interrupted by glitches, distortions, and errors caused by the inherently temporal nature of the photographic process.
